Terms of Use

Ground rules for using the Refer + Close website, forms, referral network, and tracking services.

Important: Refer + Close is a referral and workflow platform. Real estate brokerage, mortgage, title, legal, tax, appraisal, and other professional services are provided by independently licensed or qualified parties—not by the website itself.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing this website or submitting a form, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Real estate professionals must maintain all licenses, brokerage affiliations, approvals, and insurance required for the activity they perform.

2. No guarantee of match, lead, or closing

We may review, decline, prioritize, or route submissions using market availability, license status, responsiveness, experience, specialty fit, brokerage requirements, and the client’s stated needs. Applying to the network does not guarantee acceptance, exclusivity, lead volume, client engagement, compensation, or a completed transaction.

3. Consumer choice

Consumers are free to accept or decline a proposed professional and may independently select any agent, lender, or service provider. Requesting a match does not create an agency, brokerage, lending, or fiduciary relationship with Refer + Close.

4. Real estate referrals and compensation

Any referral compensation must be stated in a written agreement, approved and paid through the appropriate licensed brokerages, and comply with applicable federal and state law and brokerage policy. The standard network fee described on the website is a proposed business term for qualifying network-generated transactions; the signed referral agreement controls if its terms differ. A referral fee is not charged to the consumer as an upfront website fee.

5. Mortgage and settlement-service requests

Lender assistance is optional and separate from real estate referral compensation. A mortgage introduction is not an approval, commitment to lend, quote, or guarantee of terms. Users should compare options and review all disclosures. No person may use the platform to pay or receive compensation prohibited by RESPA, licensing law, employer policy, or other applicable rules.

6. User responsibilities

  • Obtain appropriate permission before sharing another person’s information.
  • Provide timely, accurate status updates when participating in a referral.
  • Protect confidential information and use it only for the authorized referral purpose.
  • Avoid false claims, discrimination, harassment, spam, scraping, security attacks, or unlawful activity.
  • Do not submit Social Security numbers, banking credentials, or unnecessary sensitive data through public forms.

7. Tracking and public records

Referral status may be tracked using participant updates, transaction documentation, and lawful public information. Public-record matching can be incomplete, especially for trusts, entities, LLCs, name changes, off-market transactions, or delayed recordings. Participants remain responsible for accurate closing and fee reporting under their agreements.

8. Intellectual property

The Refer + Close name, site design, written content, graphics, workflows, and platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the site for legitimate referral and service requests but may not copy, resell, misrepresent, or commercially exploit the platform without permission.

9. Disclaimers and limitation

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Refer + Close disclaims warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, market coverage, professional performance, or transaction outcome. We are not responsible for independent professionals’ advice, conduct, omissions, fees, or services. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, financial, or compliance advice.

10. Suspension, changes, and governing rules

We may suspend access, remove a participant, or decline a submission to protect clients, comply with law, address nonresponsiveness, or preserve network standards. We may update these terms as the service evolves; continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not waived.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Refer + Close website. Brokerage-specific or legal questions should be directed to your supervising broker or qualified counsel.
